FIlm Review - Push
I watched this film a few hours ago and although that's not a long time with which to digest a film and form opinions for Push it is more than enough.
From the trailers for Push you can easily form an image of this film and you would be correct, it is a film which offers nothing new and does not differ from the current crop of second class movies coming out of Hollywood at the moment, films such as Jumper, Transporter 3 and Crank. These films are not particularly terrible so long as you do not expect too much from them, they are not of the calibre of films such as Watchmen, Star Trek and The Dark Knight but they are not intended to be, at least i hope they aren't.
For the category this film falls into of predictable action thriller with nothing really new to offer to the genre it is a decent film and one to watch when you have nothing else to watch, do not expect too much from it and it will not disappoint.
The story is a somewhat predictable plot about oppressed people with abilities hunted by a government agency simply known as the Division, the story follows the Nick Grant played by Chris Evans as a movers(someone who can move objects with his mind in a manner of speaking) and his interactions with a watcher(people who can see the future) Cassie Holmes played by Dakota Fanning who puts in a solid performance, her drunk scene apart mind. Together they must find a mystery woman with a case who Cassie has seen in her drawings(predictions of the future) to bring down the division. During the search for this mystery woman they run into trouble with the Division and the some Chinese rivals of the Division who both want the case the woman has.
It;s a run of the mill story and it performs amicably, i would compare it most to Jumper though perhaps not quite as good, it is a film that shows some promise for all its faillings and the ending alludes to a sequel, however whether it will get this sequel i am not sure and it if does i doubt it will improve much on the original.
I did like Djimon Hounsou of Gladiator fame in this film as a main villain working for division, he puts in a fair performance, its just nice to see someone with some promise getting some more work, i hope to see him in more films in the future.
Anyway my final verdict on this film is the same opinion i had when i began to watch it, its not something that will blow you away and it will not reinvent the wheel but it is an easily watchable film that can prove to be quite enjoyable as long as you don't expect too much from it, ultimately if you liked Jumper then you should enjoy this film and that's the reason it exists, Hollywood know they can make a modest profit from films like these and their clones but that does not make them any the less enjoyable.
Rating 5/10 If your in the mood for an easy watch then give it a go but if you want something extraordinary then check out Watchmen or Star Trek 2009.
Cheers

UberTwitter Review for Blackberry's
Since i first got my Blackberry around a month and a half a go i have been using the most recommended BB twitter application on the Internet, twitterberry, this app has served me well i was fairly impressed with it but slightly let down by the lack of options and features included, you can do more to your twitter page from the twitter homepage on the net. Surely the point of any twitter application is that i shouldn't have to go to twitter.com just to retweet a message or check out a link and so on and so forth.
Initially this lack of options and features was a minor nuisance as i knew of no application able to correct these issues until further twitterberry updates are released, however now i know better thanks to Ubertwitter, it is not necessary to wait for twitterberry to catch up as Ubertwitter is here.
From the outset UT is a much more impressive app than TB, it has much more configuration options from text and display options through to post, timeline and location options. UT is able to display information about fellow twitterers such as location, followers, following and bio in any tweet that they make. This means that you do not have to refer to twitter.com for this information.
UT is also able to show top trending topics on your blackberry while also allowing you to search twitter for topics, this is something that TB cannot do along with retweeting, viewing friends and followers lists and combining direct messages and replies into your timeline, which saves checking multiple timelines as you are forced to do in TB.
On the whole UberTwitter is a much more impressive and powerful application than Twitterberry and is definitely worth a download for any Blackberry user, i tested both these applications on my BB Curve 8900 on OS 4.6.
Any queries about this Review please contact me
Cheers.

Kasabian Album Review
I'v taken a few extra days than i originally said i would to review this album as i thought it warranted an extra listen.
I have enjoyed listening to the album over the past week or so but on the whole i believe the hype surrounding this album has lead to me being dissapointed with the end product. Two of the songs from the album have been played on every radio station and tv program for the last month or so.
Although this has created a lot of hype for the album as these songs, Underdog and Fire are very good songs but the rest of the album suffers because of this in the long run as the rest of the album cant quite live up to these two songs and the media-hype surrounding them.
There are some other songs on the album that show promise and are worth a listen, i like Thick as Thieves and West Ryder Silver Bullet but they arent of the same caliber as the other two.
The album in the end leaves me with more hope and expectations of Kasabian than they have delivered in this album, i believe at some point they will deliver an album that can live up to the hype surrounding them thanks to the like of Radio 1 and such.
On the whole this is a decent album and certainly one of the better from this years crop of music but it isnt't able to compete with some of my favourite albums in which i can listen to and love every song on the album but those kinds of albums don't come around very often.
I would give West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum a score of 5/10, it is an album i like and would give a listen anytime and it should be given a try by everyone but don't expect it to match up to the expectations that have been built up around it.

Adventures with Rainmeter
For the past couple of days i have been playing around with a new piece of software (new to me anyway), i have been using Rainmeter which is a customisable performance monitor for your desktop, it contains lots of different widgets to monitor system performance and other things such as blogs or new feeds.
I have been using a variation of this called engima developed by lifehacker reader Kaelri, so far i am very impressed with the software, it took me a while to work out how to use the numerouse functions and capabilites of the program but once i got used to how the program worked i quickly became very impressed with what is surely a must have tool.
The image below is of my finished desktop customised with Rainmeter enigma, took me about 3 hours to sort out all told, mainly because i was not used the system but if i had to do it now i could reproduce it in around 20 minutes or so.
If anyone out there has any experiences with this program or is going to try it out then by all means contact me with the results of your experimentation.
